Position Title: Development and Communications Coordinator
The development specialist is a hybrid position with a mixture of challenging and rewarding responsibilities: resource development, special event planning, public relations and administrative. Employee should be proactive, project-oriented, and have communications and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain internal relationships as well as external partnerships.

Duties include organizing fundraising activities and special events, creating social media messages and press releases, making presentations to community organizations, recruiting and organizing volunteer activities, and functioning as an administrative assistant to the executive director.
Qualifications include highly effective communications skills, ability to organize and facilitate teamwork, basic photography and computer technology skills, ability to collaborate with diverse populations, and willingness to discuss programs with a variety of stakeholders.
