Free flu shots and health screens are available at the Onslow Community Outreach Center (also known as the Soup Kitchen Building) on Friday, October 14, from 9 am to 1:00 pm. The facility is located at 600 Court Street, downtown Jacksonville.
The flus shots will be administered by medical volunteers and staff persons from the Caring Community Clinic. The health screens include hypertension, diabetes, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and Asthma.
The clinic is a local health care facility offering primary medical services to economically disadvantaged individuals for free. Core staff members are volunteers drawn from the local medical community.
