Volunteer

Chairman Statement regarding the loss of Pam Thomas:

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Staff and Volunteers of Onslow Community Outreach (OCO), we mourn the passing of Pam Thomas.  For over 16 years, Ms. Thomas served as a Board member and advocate for serving our neighbors in need.  In 1998, she was elected as Treasurer of OCO. During her tenure, Ms. Thomas’ financial oversight, passion for service and unwavering vision helped to double the service capacity  of OCO within the community, as well as to purchase property and complete Phase One construction of our new Homeless Shelter at 1210 Hargett Street.

Pam Thomas was a long serving Rotarian in Onslow County and she truly lived her life in accordance to the Rotary of “Service Above Self.”  Pam Thomas leaves a legacy of service to Onslow Community Outreach which includes improved facilities and improved services which will continue to change the lives of those in need within Onslow County.

We wish to express our sincere condolences to her family and all those who worked with her to improve our community.
